It means that Beautycounter is about educating and informing consumers on how to read their personal care labels. Beautycounter provides an option to choose safer products for you and your loved ones. Beautycounter has skincare, body care, kids and baby line and cosmetics.
The last federal law to regulate the ingredients in personal care products was in 1938. To date, the US have only banned 30 ingredients, whereas the European Union (EU) have banned 1400. Therefore, it is perfectly legal for personal care companies to include ingredients that are known to be harmful to our health. With that in mind, Beautycounter created a Never List that comprises over 1500 questionable or harmful ingredients that is prohibited when formulating their products. Beautycounter creates products with safety and performance in mind. When Beautycounter launched in 2013, there were 9 products; however now there are 90 products and more in the works.
I’ve been using Beautycounter for over 2 years and started as a consultant in July 2016. I decided to join as a consultant after my youngest daughter started Kindergarten. I wanted to find a job that would be super flexible so that I can still focus on being a stay-at-home Mom.
