We need you! Call for Community Leaders and Advisory Board!

Do you want to make an impact in a BIG way? We are looking for…

Community Group Leaders + Advisory Board Members!

Hi friends!  How is your “Monday” going?  I feel like all of the days are starting to blend together?  Does anyone else feel the same?  Funny enough, I have always loved Mondays.  I’ve looked at them as a fresh start and a new day to make things happen!

I shared last week in a post to social about what I’ve been up to over these last few crazy weeks.  When the first signs that the virus was here in NC I went into what I call helper mode. I jumped full steam in to help all of the local businesses I could prepare for what was to come. With a background in marketing and being blessed with some pretty tech-savvy skills, I tried to do everything I could to prepare those I could with the ability to put a plan in place.  Yet I felt it wasn’t enough, I felt like I should have been able to help more.

The one thing though that has become more apparent to us all more than ever is that we can not do this alone. The only way we can all make it safely to the other side is by working together.

We can make more of an impact when we work together than we ever can alone.

When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping."

Now more than ever, Vend Raleigh needs you!

Community Group Leaders

Our industry-specific community groups on Facebook are where the real day-to-day interactions are happening.  This is where your peers in business are talking, sharing experiences and looking for advice.  These groups are needed more now than ever!  Jump in and start a conversation in your community group!  For those of you who own retail shops, how is this affecting you?  Are you coming up with creative ideas on how to get you through?  How about our New Media group members who are already in tune with online resources for marketing?  I bet they have some great suggestions.  Vend Raleigh believes firmly in COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION every day, day in, day out.  Your business is unique because of YOU.  No one else can do it as you can.  Your support and your help can be the reason a small business is able to come out of this stronger than ever.

What is a community group leader?

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, leader who is experienced in their industry and willing to help others in their community grow!  Your responsibilities would be to admin your industry-specific Facebook group by moderating comments, approving new members, and starting weekly conversations on the education topics Vend is focusing on.  All community group leaders would also have a seat on the Vend Raleigh Advisory Board.

Vend Raleigh Advisory Board

Over the years Vend Raleigh has created some pretty amazing events and workshops that have impacted thousands of women-run businesses.  We are ready for a new chapter in our story but we need your help!  We are creating a Vend Raleigh Advisory Board and are looking for women who want to continue to make an impact to join us.

?What will the Advisory Board do

The Advisory board will meet in person (once we can again!) once a quarter and virtually in between to help create a strategic plan for the direction Vend Raleigh will take throughout the year in terms of events and educational workshops.  The board will be made up of our community group leaders and other members who are passionate about helping our community grow and thrive.  We are looking for both veteran members and brand new members to help us fill these spots.  Want to make a difference?  Join us!
